BOW Terminal Eemshaven
BOW Terminal Vlissingen is fully operational since 2010 and logistic provider in the energy market. This location is situated in the port of Vlissingen, on a terminal extending across 25 ha with a heavy load quay length of 525 metres. For (de)mobilization activities and layby an additional 1.400 metres are available. BOW Terminal is a subsidiary of the Kloosterboer Group.
BOW Terminal will expand their marshalling services by opening a new heavy lift terminal in Eemshaven. In 2017 BOW Terminal opted for 10 ha + 12 ha of land at the Wilhelmina Harbour in Eemshaven. Converting the option into an agreement with Groningen Seaports, BOW Terminal acquired 10 ha of land located directly along a 220 metres exclusive quay at the Wilhelmina Harbour.
With a water depth of 16 metres minimum the Wilhelmina Harbour has the highest water depth in Eemshaven and is therefore perfectly suitable for deepwater vessels. Future expansion can be achieved with the option for another 12 ha with a direct connection to the purchased land.
The quay strength of the Wilhelmina Harbour will be upgraded from the current 5 tons/m2 to 10 tons/m2 meaning that amongst other also roll-on / roll-off and heavy lift operations can be executed at our new facility.
With this new facility BOW Terminal will focus on four markets, i.e. heavy lift, decommissioning, oil & gas and offshore wind. Just like its marshalling yard in Vlissingen, BOW Terminal Eemshaven will provide its clients with a team of experts in the field.
Our terminal will be operational starting Q2/Q3 2019. Permits are being applied for, including ISPS and a bonded status. Furthermore all required ISO certificates will be in place to comply with the market standards.
